The BGT050 is a LoRaWAN-enabled rumen bolus designed to capture sheep activity, rumen temperature, and movement. Material is harmless to sheep. Once injected using a standard bolus gun, the bolus remains in the rumen. The sheep rumen bolus is a compact, lightweight device designed specifically for small ruminants. Once administered with a dedicated bolus applicator, the capsule remains in the rumen and continuously monitors body temperature and activity patterns.
Unlike larger cattle boluses, this version is optimized for sheep, focusing on estrus detection and general health monitoring without pH measurement. Data is transmitted wirelessly to the gateway and then to the cloud platform, giving farmers and veterinarians access to real-time insights on flock health and reproduction.
